PRE-NOVITIATE

2. Initial Formation

At the Nazareth Sisters of the Annunciation, we welcome young Catholic women into our Congregation who meet the necessary criteria: free from canonical impediments, with the right intentions, and the qualities needed to embrace religious life. Candidates should demonstrate signs of a genuine vocation, good conduct, freedom of choice, and the maturity required to live and grow within a community of women.

Our Pre-Novitiate includes two essential stages:

  • Aspirancy (1-2 years): The first stage of discernment, where candidates explore and deepen their calling.

  • Postulancy (1-2 years): A time of more structured formation, where candidates begin to integrate more fully into the community life.

Upon completing the Pre-Novitiate, candidates continue their journey with:

  • Novitiate (2 years): Focused on spiritual formation and deepening the understanding of religious life.

  • Juniorate (6-9 years): Continued development in community life, formation, and preparation for final vows.

Growing in faith and mission

3.Ongoing Formation

Ongoing formation ensures continuous spiritual growth and deepening of one’s vocation. We offer various programs to nurture and sustain our members’ faith and commitment:

  • Spiritual Courses and Workshops: Opportunities for further theological and spiritual education.

  • Sabbatical Programs: Periodic breaks designed for spiritual renewal, reflection, and personal growth.

  • Retreats: Times of prayer and silence to reconnect with God, fostering deeper intimacy with Him and the community.
