Postulancy

Entering Postulancy

Deepening Community Bonds & Religious Education

During the postulancy stage, candidates take their first steps into deeper religious commitment, guided by spiritual formation and community life. This phase is marked by a ceremony of admission, where postulants are introduced to the religious community under the patronage of St. Joseph, fostering deeper mutual understanding and connection.

Core Subjects for Spiritual and Personal Growth

Religious Formation, Scriptures, Church History, Liturgy and Human Development.

  • Religious Formation: Deepening the candidate’s relationship with God through prayer, vows, and community life.

  • Scriptures: Exploring God’s Word and its relevance to daily living.

  • Church History: Understanding the Church’s growth, traditions, and mission.

  • Liturgy: Participating in the rituals that shape spiritual life.

  • Human Development: Nurturing emotional, psychological, and social maturity in faith.

Discernment for the Novitiate Six months before admission to the Novitiate, a period of discernment takes place. Candidates undergo individual interviews with the Pre-novice Mistress and two Sisters chosen by the Superior General. If both the candidate and the community discern God’s will for the next step, the candidate proceeds to the Novitiate.
